Today, for all my wonderful readers, I wanted to show you the cover of the book,
Gifted Myths: And Easy-to-Read Guide to the Myths, Science and History of the Gifted and Twice-Exceptional.
And in exciting news, it will be available for purchase from GHF Press in December, just in time for Christmas!
The artwork is by the amazing Australian artist, Dickson Payne at Internal Flux. He is a wonderful neurodivergent artist with a focus on industrial abstract art.
Dickson Payne’s work captures images of everyday life, reveling in exposing the character in the common place and the familiar…
… The artist’s paintings have an intensity rarely portrayed with such simplicity, that speaks volumes by displaying an emotive depth of rich colour and striking texture. The deeply personal yet simple nature of the artist’s work invites you into a world of an artist who breathes life into the ordinary.–Internal Flux
I personally love the ambiguity of the image. I find it evokes the impression of the dye-staining process of DNA sequencing. But not quite. It’s fuzzy, and unclear. Which, for me, is a perfect analogy of what giftedness is about and the state of the science as we currently understand it.
And for those interested in what the book is about? Here is the back cover.
